HIGH SQUARE
High square prints offer great impact and help emphasise text or the fine detail of a design with its sharp, hard edges. High square is best used to depict clear line work onto a similar or contrasting base fabric to give the print a 3D effect.
RETRO PHOTOGRAPHICS
Retro photographic prints provide a great way of achieving crisp detail in photographic imagery. It is achieved by passing a reduced amount of ink through a very fine mesh screen, keeping the ink deposit on the fabric to a minimum. This in turn gives the image a classic vintage appearance.
REVERSE PRINTING
Reverse printing occurs when a garment is turned inside-out and the graphic is printed on the inside panel. Also known as push through printing, the ink that shows through on the other side takes on a natural faded texture depending on the colour and thickness of the fabric and how much ink is applied.
PRESS PRINTING
This is a great way to improve the look and feel of a print. it has the advantage of giving an ordinary screen print added value and durability. A sheet of wax paper is placed over the print area, followed by the application of heat that gives the print a flatter and shinier look.
CRACKED INK
Cracked ink is a distressed print technique that is achieved when cured plastisol ink is stretched or crumpled. The result is a vintage-looking cracking effect and is best used on large surface areas with a highly contrasting colour.
FLOCKS
Flocks bring depth and texture to distressed prints and are mainly used in typography. A flock gives letters and numbers a soft, velvety feel which helps to enhance a garment’s overall quality and appearance.
PUFF PRINTS
Puff printing is a unique print technique whereby a heat-reactive foaming agent helps to create a puffy 3D effect with a soft, marshmallow-like texture.
FOILS
Foils offer a sophisticated and elegant look and are most effective when used in selected areas to highlight detail. This heat-press application comes in a variety of shimmering colours, including holographic, gold, silver, bronze and copper. Foils work best when applied to darker fabrics, as this helps to illuminate the foil.
EMBOSS PRINTING
We offer embossing as one of our speciality print techniques creating a permanent raised design with clean, bold lines.
